Blendtek and Vitamix are some of the reference brands for blenders. Even the cheapest models on the high-end market are dazzling for both amateurs and serious professionals. But how do we get out?
Blendtec models are smart. With a series of one-touch pre-programmed cycles, including self-cleaning, and a 100-speed touch-sensitive cursor in one design, they are designed for both intelligence and control. You can also count on durability at a high price. They are known for their longevity and Blendtec offers a full eight-year warranty on its products.
Vitamix mixers are also built to last. Thanks to sturdy metal parts and a patented automatic cooling system, they stay in top condition for years, without the wear and tear that can be expected from cheaper models. The Smart System Series is intelligently designed with touch screens, automatic speed control and wireless connectivity to ensure your mixer is installed with the latest technology. Vitamix is proud of its quality. A 10-year guarantee gives you security at the time of purchase.
Clearly, both brands support impressive standards, so we’ve broken down their specifications below for a more accurate comparison. We have similar models installed on top of each other so that you can understand which model suits you best.
What’s the difference?
A comparison of all models of these two brands would be somewhat complicated. Here we simplified the situation by comparing the business model, the mid-range model and the higher quality model of each brand.
Comparison of budgetary models
Blendtec Fit compared to Vitamix E310
The cheapest part of the Blendtek family is Blendtek Fit. Thanks to the 3.0 HP motor it can easily cut ice, frozen fruit or other solids at high speed. The comparable Vitamix model, the E310, is only 2.0 hp behind at the same price. Both cranes have a high capacity for a mixer in the lower price range, but they are not the cheapest models available.
Blendtec and Vitamix offer their low-budget models for the same price, which may not seem to fit the budget at first sight. However, the muscles behind these mixers make them very valuable.
These entry-level mixes for each brand contain very few additives. Blendtec Fit offers a 30-second loop and an Add 10 button, as well as impulse buttons. It has a more attractive design than the Vitamix E310 boxer. However, the E310 offers a 10-speed arrangement with a five-year guarantee. Blendtec Fit has a bad two-year warranty.
Comparison of mid-rangemodels
Blendtec Designer 625 vs. Vitamix Professional Series 750
The Blendtec Designer 625 supports the 3.0 HP Blendtec Fit motor and has a six-step slider on the touchscreen for power supply. The Vitamix Professional Series 750 has 2.2 hp more power than the E310 and offers pre-programmed settings that allow you to configure your mixer and get started. Again, both are powerful actors, but Blendek’s focus on power stands out.
When you go up the stairs in the specifications, prices start to diverge. The Designer Blendtech 625 is slightly cheaper than the Vitamix Professional Series 750.
With the Designer 625, Blendtec introduces intuitive touch controls and a six-speed slider. It has four programmed cycles and an eight-year warranty. With its modern design and elegant finish, it also looks good on the counter. The 750 Vitamix professional series has five programmed settings, but is only guaranteed for seven years. But it fades into aesthetics. The box design looks older and more fragrant than the Blendtec model.
Comparison of high-end models
Blendtec Professional 800 vs. Vitamix Ascent Series A3500
Blendtec’s high-end Professional 800 takes performance to the next level. With a 3.8 hp engine and an 11-position touch-screen cursor it is both light and accurate. Vitamix never achieves these properties. The high-tech Ascent A3500 series has only 2.2 HP and has more manual programming. But when you start talking about the term PS in the mixer market, you know you’re dealing with a lot of weight. Blendtec may be more powerful, but you probably won’t notice the difference with beating cocktails.
The professional Blendtec series is much more expensive than anything offered by Vitamix, while the professional 800 series is much more expensive than the Vitamix appliance. Blendtec models always come from there. It also offers a commercial line that can only be purchased through authorised resellers.
The Blendtec Professional 800 is designed for chefs and serious amateurs. It is equipped with a folding roof to reduce noise, an 11-position slider and a 3.8 hp motor. Looks like it’s something serious. The Vitamix Ascent Series A3500 offers five pre-programmed settings and touch controls, as well as a wireless connection to keep the software up-to-date. With the Elite models you get more for your money with the Vitamix A3500 than with the more expensive Blendtec model. The A3500 is one of the most beautiful Vitamix mixers.
Quick overview Blendtec
Blendtec machines are designed for professionals, and their high performance shows. The company also offers an eight-year warranty on most of its models, which shows that it strongly supports its products. The price difference may discourage some, but given the shorter lifespan of most mixers on the market, it is worth making some extra money for sustainability. Here you can find more information about the different Blendtec machines.
Blendtec fit mixer
Blendtec FitThis is a high-quality machine, designed for beginners or minimalists. By default it works in a loop of 30 seconds and offers the Add 10 button to enlarge the hood if needed. It is also equipped with high and low impulse buttons for extra control. With 3.0 hp and a two-year warranty, Blendtec Fit is one of the best daily faucets on the market.
Blendtec Classic 575.
Blendtec took the Fit model and added steroids, resulting in the Classic 575 model. There are buttons for the smoothing and cleaning cycle and longer timers of 60 and 90 seconds for mixtures that need more attention. These buttons include five speeds for manual operation, as well as high and low heart rate buttons. It has 3.0 HP, a promising standard warranty of eight years from Blendtec and a wide range of basic colours.
Blendtec Designer 625 Blender
Model 625 is an entry-level model in the Blendtec design series. It is similar to the Classic 575 in its technical features, but is complemented by a more elegant and sexy design and touch screen operation. A six-speed touch-screen slider controls power and allows you to program cycles for cocktails, ice cream, hot soup and even juices. It also comes with a standard warranty of eight years and various colour options.
Designer of the Blendtec 650 mixer faucet
By deleting a page from Book 625, 650 adds two additional programmed keys: Fighting and ice climbing. It also increases control over the eight-speed sliders and introduces a five-way WildSide+ jug to improve the quality of the mix. It comes with an eight-year warranty and two colour options.
Mixer 675 Blendtec Designer
The next step is the 675, which simulates 650 except for one possibility: It has a +10 button to add the mixing time in 10 second increments. It’s not an impressive climb, but it works for about the same price as the 650.
Blendtec Designer 725 Blender
A true graduate of the 600 floor mixers, 725 is smart and impressive. Blendtec adds SmartBlend technology to this model, which automatically detects problems with your mix, such as overheating, overload or even air pockets. What’s more, this eight-speed slider and its muscle bundle increases up to 100 speeds, giving you expert precision and speed control. It is equipped with a MultiSpeed pulse for a strong explosion at any speed. If you thought 3.0 hp was impressive, then this amplifier is at 3.8 hp.
Skilled worker 750
Blendtec 750 Professional Blender
This model is rather intended for the permanent equipment of professional kitchens. It adds nothing to the functionality of its predecessors in the design series. In fact you expect much more than 725 for the extra money you have to pay for this. For some reason Blendtec reduced the power of this model to 3.0 HP, reduced the slider from 100 steps to 10 steps and then added a small LCD screen. In other words, don’t be fooled by the professional nickname.
Skilled worker 800
Blendtec 800 Professional Blender
It’s still not as impressive as the Designer 725, but the Professional 800 has a hinged lid for quieter operation and increases engine power to 3.8 hp. The speed control has been increased to 11. Since this is the most expensive blender in the Blendtec range, you can expect more trinkets.
Blendtec makes solid products, but the Professional series is a bit whimsical. For money it’s best to get the Designer 725 and not be fooled by higher prices. On the other hand, every Blendtec Fit model is well thought-out and very productive.
At the beginning of the year
- High performance
- Eight years warranty
- A wide range of possibilities
- straightforward design
- High price
- Professional models are not up to the task
Brief overview Vitamix
Vitamix offers several impressive features and the brand is proud of its sustainability. It even comes with impressive guarantees. Although they are generally not more professional or do not offer the same engine power as the Blendtec, Vitamix mixers are more affordable, easier to use and will give you great performance for years to come. Read on to find out more about what Vitamix can offer you.
Vitamix S30 mixing machine
The first model in the Vitamix range is the compact S30. A choice of 20 or 40 ounce containers, an impulse function and an old-fashioned handle for speed control are included. It is also equipped with integrated temperature controllers and automatic shutdown for safety reasons. Expect five years of protection at the end of the warranty, which is a good pillow for any small blender.
Vitamix S50 mixing machine
Vitamix offers the S50 at a small extra cost. This mixer adds two buttons programmed for Smoothie or Power Blend… and that’s it. However, the ease of pre-programming costs extra money.
Mixer Vitamix E310
At the bottom of the classic Vitamix – E310 mixer range. It looks a bit like your grandmother’s mixer from the ’80s, but the simple, robust design may be just what you need. It is equipped with a 10-speed controller, pulse function, 2.0 HP motor and 3-inch laser cutting blades for powerful mixing. This model also comes with a five-year warranty.
Standard mixer Vitamix 5200
A lead on the E310 is the standard 5200. The design is not more attractive, but it has a larger 64-ounce container and a container for hot soup directly in the machine. It works with 2.0 hp and the warranty has been extended to seven years.
Professional Series 750
Professional faucet Vitamix 750 series
Then Vitamix starts to get more serious. The 750 Professional Series is beginning to offer a number of muscle functions, including five programmed settings for this comfortable walking function. It also gets a little more power at 2.2 hp, and the seven-year warranty is second to none. He will not receive any Aesthetics Awards, but he will be a member of the Aesthetics Awards as of the 750th anniversary. The Vitamix is heading in the right direction.
Vitamix 780 mixing machine
Is that the touch screen we’re looking at? This mixer is equipped with a modern LED control panel and a pulse function, expands its container by 64 ounces and becomes a transition model between the Classic and Smart System series.
Agitator for Vitamix A2300
As the first Smart System Blender, the Vitamix A2300 is closer to the entry-level model, but it also features fascinating technology. It provides speed control, pulse function and digital timer. It also has built-in wireless communication, so your mixer is always programmed with the latest software. This means you can invest once and update for free. It’s not a bad deal. The A2300 has 2.2 hp, but the warranty does not exceed 10 years.
Agitator Vitamix A2500
All pre-programmed settings for hail! The A2500 has three settings for smoothies, hot soup and frozen desserts. You can also use Vitamix containers of different sizes and the mixer will automatically detect what you are using. Other specifications simulate the A2300.
Agitator Vitamix A3300
Vitamix expands the A3300 Smart System series with touch control. It also looks smoother thanks to its smooth surface and simplicity of operation. By the way, he’s copying an A2500.
Agitator Vitamix A3500
With this model, Vitamix adds two extra pre-programmed settings: Diving, spreading and self-cleaning. In combination with the other features of the previous devices, the A3500 can begin to observe the actual development of the muscles in this series. It’s also the one with the most color variations.
Vitamix remains slightly more modest than Blendtech, but it throws some solid gifts into the arena. Unfortunately the improved models offer little extra technology compared to its predecessors, so it seems unwise to pay more. However, the Smart System series is a victory for technology. An important innovation is the ability to update the internal software.
At the beginning of the year
- Great durability
- Good guarantees
- More technology
- Low yield
- Concepts for boxes
- Fewer functions
What users say.
Users regard Blendtec as a respected company and say the mixers are easy to use, easy to clean and very durable. Some have asked questions about the quality of Blendtec’s customer service, as can be seen from the Q&A page on the company’s website. Several questions are asked about specific models that will not be answered within a few months. This can upset anyone looking for extra support.
Vitamix users say their mixers are powerful, easy to use and durable. However, some opponents point to the lightness and fragility of the crane as a disadvantage. There is also a frequently mentioned problem of Teflon flakes leaking into the fluid used, although this problem has been remedied in the latest models.
Comparing the two brands at the top of the crane range can be a difficult task. But Blendtec outperforms Vitamix in terms of performance, options and durability. When you buy a Blendtec machine, you get good performance, good design and good control. They are easy to clean and use and offer options for all skill levels and needs. Both brands have solid specifications and offer an excellent mixer, so you can’t do it wrong. But if you fold them side by side, Blendtec offers the best overall quality.
