Best Single Serve Blenders in 2020 – #4 Best Overall

Last update : 29. March 2020

Blenders can be very useful in the kitchen. However, if you want to mix smaller quantities, such as a cocktail, you may need a specially designed blender. Not all taps work well with small amounts, so you’ll probably want to find a great model with only one power supply.

Don’t worry, we’re here to help you find a good blender. We have tested the best brands and compiled this list of the top 10 single-serve mixers of 2020. For each brand we have produced a detailed report comparing the price, design, performance, materials and the warranty, so you can make your choice with confidence.

Mixing a portion shouldn’t be difficult, and we hope this review and the buyer’s guide at the end will help you find a great model.

Quick comparison of our favourites

Best disposable mixers

1. Ninja BL456 Single servo blender – Best Overall

Ninja BL456

Our favourite disposable mixer is the Ninja BL456, a lightweight, attractively priced model with many features and a powerful engine.

This aerodynamic machine, which weighs 1.5 kg, has a powerful 900-watt motor with stainless steel blades that easily shred ice. It has only one speed and no automatic settings, so even if you can’t configure your settings, it’s incredibly easy to use. The pack contains 18 and 24 corner mixes with screw caps, made of practical, dishwasher safe plastic, and a cookbook with 75 recipes.

Without an enlarged jug, the BL456 cannot double the power of a large mixer, so it works best when mixing only small quantities. During our tests we found that the seals are of inferior quality and need to be replaced quite often, and that the purchase of replacement blades can be costly. This unit comes with an impressive lifetime warranty, although the mixing bowls are not covered and you will have to pay for delivery.

The advantages of

  • Lightweight and cheap
  • Easy to use and clean
  • Protein-free plastic, dishwasher-safe
  • Two cup sizes for mixing
  • Robust motor and blades
  • lifelong guarantee

Disadvantages

  • Only one speed
  • Small capacity without large jug
  • Cups or deliveries are not covered by the warranty.
  • Less robust seals and expensive spare blades

2. Hamilton Beach Disposable Blender – Best value

HAMILTON BEACH 51101AV

If you want to save money, you might be interested in the 51101AV Personal Blender from Hamilton Beach, which we found to be the best disposable mixer for the money.

This tiny 1.8 pound model is available in a range of bright colours and is sold at a very low price. At 175 W, the engine is less powerful and needs a mixing break, but it can handle the basic mixture. You can choose between one or two 14-ounce BPA-free cups with a sliding lid. Cups, lids and knives can be washed in the dishwasher, but if you want them to last longer, you might want to wash them by hand.

The 51101AV has a very simple one-button interface that works at one speed. This model is not resistant to hot liquids and we have found that the stainless steel motor and blades are less durable. Hamilton Beach offers a one year guarantee.

The advantages of

  • Very low cost and low weight
  • Available in a range of bright colours
  • Choice of one or two BPA-free cups with lid
  • Dishwasher heads, lids and knives.
  • A simple and user-friendly interface
  • One year warranty

Disadvantages

  • A less robust and more powerful engine and blades
  • Cannot work with hot liquids
  • Only one speed
  • The engine must lie between the mixtures.

3. NutriBullet Disposable mixer

NutriBullet Pro

If you’re looking for a top-of-the-range model, consider the NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro High-Speed Blender, a compact yet powerful device that produces an impressively smooth mix.

This attractive 5.5 lb. model, available in a beautiful color palette, is equipped with a powerful 900 watt motor and durable stainless steel extraction blades. It contains two 32-ounce capacity rocker covers and a healthy recipe book. The cup and lid are made of BPA-free, dishwasher-safe plastic.

Although it is stylish and powerful, we found that this car isn’t really worth its high price, with leakage problems and less durable plastic parts. NutriBullet offers a warranty of one year and the possibility to buy an additional warranty of four years.

The advantages of

  • Attractive and compact
  • Robust stainless steel knives
  • A powerful engine
  • Suitable for two cups with a larger capacity and with caps
  • Easy to clean.
  • One year extendable warranty

Disadvantages

  • More expensive
  • Only one speed
  • Cups can leak.
  • Less robust plastic parts

4. CPB-300 Mixer for kitchen appliances

Cushion type CPB-300

The Cuisinart CPB-300 Brilliant Blender can be another good choice and offers a range of blending options at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, it is also less powerful and less durable.

This lightweight four-pound model has a less powerful 350-watt engine, but offers three speeds, including a pulse version. It has an elegant silver casing and a simple three-button interface, as well as safety features such as a safety interlock and an elevator system. The package consists of a 32-ounce mixing cup, an 8-ounce cutting cup and four 16ounce mixing cups, all with lid and made of BPA-free, dishwasher safe tritan. It also offers two self-adjusting knife sets, specially designed for mixing and grinding.

We loved all these options, but we didn’t like the space all the accessories took up because the cups didn’t fit. The motor is not powerful enough to break the ice and the cups are not very strong and tend to break. Cuisinart offers a good three-year warranty.

The advantages of

  • Attractive and light
  • Pretty expensive.
  • Three speeds and different safety features
  • A range of BPA-free, dishwasher safe mixers.
  • Contains two sets of self-aligning blades
  • Three year warranty

Disadvantages

  • Less stable cups
  • Less powerful motor
  • Accessories take up a lot of space

5. Galvanized disposable mixer

Galvanized

The Cincred Countertop Personal Mixer is another visually attractive and cost-effective option, although it also has fewer features and very low capacity.

This 2.25 lb disposable mixer comes with a small disposable 15 ounce mug made from a BPA and tritan free dishwasher. The 250-watt motor tends to overheat and does not handle ice cream or frozen foods well. It is therefore not necessarily suitable for cocktails or other cold mixes. We found that the four-pointed stainless steel knives were quite strong.

Attractive and compact, this mixer is also easy to use. No interface: To turn it on, line up the mixing cup and press it on. You have no speed selection and no adjustments to make. Cincred offers an impressive lifetime warranty.

The advantages of

  • Ease of use and low costs
  • Attractive and compact
  • Long lasting tritan mixture in a travel cup
  • Robust stainless steel knives
  • Impressive lifetime warranty

Disadvantages

  • A less powerful engine easily overheats
  • Low capacity
  • Not strong enough for ice cream or frozen foods
  • No speed selection.

6. Disposable mixers

Sboly

Sboly’s 10USSY621BK Personal Mixer is light and inexpensive, but has no powerful motor and requires extra preparation time.

This pretty nice model has a simple one-button user interface and weighs only 3.3 pounds. The 300-watt motor is not very powerful and cannot be mixed for more than one minute at a time, and the manufacturer recommends reducing harder products to a one-inch cube. The base is equipped with a handle and a safety lock, as well as a four-point stainless steel blade.

You can choose between one or two 20-ounce tritan cups with lid. They come with a bottle brush, an ice cube container and two spare silicone O-rings. Sboly offers a quality guarantee of 90 days and a general guarantee of two years.

The advantages of

  • Low cost and low weight
  • A simple interface
  • Many of them include accessories such as replacing O-rings.
  • 90 days quality guarantee and two years warranty

Disadvantages

  • No speed selection.
  • Less capacity
  • Less powerful motor
  • It takes some time to prepare

7. KACSOO SPOW Mixer (Disposable)

Kacsoo

If you are interested in a travel mixer, the KACSOO SPOW mixer can be selected by you. This tiny, battery-operated model allows you to mix quietly and wirelessly, but it’s not very powerful and costs more than the features guarantee.

For only £1.65 this model fits in any kitchen, sports bag or suitcase. You can charge the battery with the included USB charging cable and the mixing is completely wireless. The dual engine is surprisingly quiet, but not powerful enough for ice cream or frozen fruit. It may be necessary to cut fruit and vegetables into pieces and use crushed ice. The one-button interface has indicators to indicate charging status. The stainless steel base and four-point blade are quite sturdy, although the blades for mixing are small.

We found it impractical to charge the mixing bowl, as it has to be charged three to five hours before use and cannot be used while charging. The 15.5-ounce mixing container is made of high quality glass and has a carrying lid, but is too small to be practical. KACSOO offers a two-year warranty.

The advantages of

  • Lightweight and very portable.
  • Battery with charging cable included
  • Simple one-button user interface
  • Robust stainless steel base and four-point blade
  • Glass street cup with lid
  • Two year warranty

Disadvantages

  • A little expensive.
  • No speed selection.
  • Smaller blades and a less powerful engine
  • Must be baked
  • Must be invoiced within three to five hours.

8. Khomjik one-way mixers

Homgek

The lightweight and inexpensive Homgeek mixer may be your choice, although it has some design flaws and doesn’t seem to be as durable.

This 2.76 lb. machine has a less powerful 300 watt motor mounted on a four-point stainless steel knife set. The package consists of two travel cups of 20 lb. BPA-free tritan plastic. The base is equipped with a safety lock and a practical handle. The blender is easy to clean using the manufacturer’s recommended method of mixing water and lemon within 20 seconds.

During the tests we realized that it can be difficult to separate the cups from the knives and that the mixer needs to be stirred a little to make the mixture work properly. We have also noticed that the cup can leak during mixing. Homgeek offers a basic one-year warranty.

The advantages of

  • Lightweight and cheap
  • Easy to clean.
  • Four-point stainless steel blade
  • Durable travel cups in light shades
  • One year warranty

Disadvantages

  • Less powerful motor
  • Cups can be difficult to remove
  • Must be mixed to ensure smooth mixing
  • Cups can leak.

9. BILACA BL200A Single service mixer

BILACA

The BILACA BL200A single lever mixer is also cheap and light, but there is a reason why it is at the end of the list. The motor is not powerful enough to ensure smooth mixing and the machine does not seem powerful enough to hold.

While the stainless steel base is attractive, the less powerful 300-watt motor on this 3.65-pound model is a big disadvantage. Two 18-ounce travel cups with lids, both made of benzene free tritanium and a four point stainless steel top are included. You can buy additional travel cups from the company and the blender has a good security lock function.

This user-friendly machine has no interface or speed selection. To turn it on, you have to turn on the cup. We have found that a blender is generally less durable, so it may not be suitable for you if you mix it regularly. BILACA offers a 30-day money back guarantee and a one-year warranty.

The advantages of

  • Lightweight and cheap
  • Attractive base and stable blades
  • Easy to use
  • Includes two sturdy caps with available spare parts
  • 30 day money back guarantee and one year guarantee

Disadvantages

  • Less powerful motor
  • Less robust in general
  • No speed selection.

10. Mixer TB18s Testament

Willsence

Our final choice is our Willsence TB18s personal blender. This model is the last one on the list, as it is not very well designed for careful mixing and is not strong enough for regular use.

The TB18 is affordable and weighs only 2.64 pounds. It is designed for mixing and grinding with special knife sets for each mode. The set consists of a 20-pound sports bottle with a cap, a cup and a four-point sharpening knife, and a two-point sharpening knife cup. The 300W motor is not powerful enough for heavy mixing conditions and we found that the mixer needs to be shaken or agitated in order to mix completely. The base is equipped with a safety interlock and automatic overheating protection, and one-button operation is easy.

Although the mixing drums supplied are made from BPA-free tritan, they are not very strong and break easily. Unfortunately Willsence does not offer a replacement. Therefore, you may need to replace the entire blender if your containers break. Willsence supports this mixer with a two year warranty and 12 months technical support.

The advantages of

  • cheap and light
  • Works as a mixing and grinding machine, with special knives.
  • Contains various accessories
  • User-friendly one-button user interface
  • Two years warranty and one year technical support

Disadvantages

  • Less stable containers
  • No exchangeable containers.
  • Must be mixed for complete mixing
  • No speed selection.

Purchasing guide

Now that you’ve seen our list of the top 10 disposable mixers, you can start shopping. But how can you be sure to choose the model that suits you best? Below you will find our short manual with the most important options.

Power

Maybe you should think about what you usually confuse. If you want to mix ice cream, frozen foods or solid vegetables, you need to buy a blender with a higher power, about 900 W. If you only mix soft ingredients, or if you are willing to reduce your power before mixing, you can settle for a less powerful motor, about 300 W.

Some service mixers are also available with two power options. If you want the most powerful mixer, you probably want to stick to the most common type, the electric. These models need to be connected for work, just like the classic mixer.

If you want something more travel friendly, you might be interested in themodels with a battery. These mixers are powered by rechargeable batteries. Don’t forget to charge them in advance, but because they are mixed without a cable, they are easy to use while camping or travelling.

Sustainability

How often do you want to use your blender? If you interfere on a daily basis, you probably want to make sure that your choice is strong enough to hold your ground. Be sure to use solid base materials and knives, such as stainless steel and solid mixing vessels made of tritanium or impact-resistant glass.

Operation and performance

Because of their rationalization, one-man cranes generally have less function than mixers with normal dimensions. This means that on most models you cannot adjust the mixing speed. If you want to be able to adjust your mix, you can search for a mix that offers high and low speeds or pulse functions.

The compromise is that these cranes have fewer functions and are very easy to use. The most common type has a simple one-button user interface that you hold down for as long as you want to mix. The less common version has no interface or buttons at all. This type of blender comes on when you attach a bowl to it and press it.

If you are particularly interested in safety features, you can look for models equipped with safety locks that prevent the mixer from starting accidentally, and overheating protection that automatically stops the engine to prevent combustion or even starting a fire.

Price

Maybe you should think about how much you want to spend on your new console. You can buy a good disposable mixer for the price of a few in-store fruit cocktails, although the cheaper models are often less durable and less powerful. When you’re ready to spend a little more, you can get a mixer with a solid, robust engine and body and extra features.

Weight and capacity

Single service mixers are generally simple and rational, so they weigh only a few kilos and have a fairly small capacity. Maybe you want to think about how much mixing capacity you need and how much space you have in your kitchen. Keep in mind that these bumpers are generally light and small, but they are also quite large, so you should compare the sizes shown with the space you have available.

Warranty

What do you think of the guarantees? If you want the security of a good backup guarantee for your devices, you can pay attention to the details. All models tested by us have a warranty of at least one year, but some have an optional extension of several years or even a lifetime warranty. You can also see what each warranty covers, as some only cover the engine or require high shipping or repair costs.

Conclusion

Our favourite disposable mixer is the Ninja BL456, which is light, cheap and very powerful. If you have a small budget, the compact Hamilton Beach 51101AV Personal Mixer is very affordable. And if you’re buying a high-end model, the NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro High-Speed Blender, with its powerful engine and high performance, is the right choice for you.

Buying an excellent single-serving blender doesn’t have to be a routine job. Whatever you’re looking for, there are many great models on the market. We hope that this Top 10 Single-Service Mixer ranking, along with extensive evaluations, will help you find your new favorite device. Have fun with your new mixer!
